Meet the Rock Nest Ranch Team!

The Kosters

Daniel and Geneva joined the Rock Nest Ranch staff in 2012 under the guidance of former UIM Directors George & Joyce Fitchett and Wendell & Heather Garrison.  
Both Daniel and Geneva have served in multiple roles at camp including work crew, counsellor, maintenance and just about everything in between. 

Daniel grew up in Jenison MI, he has always had a heart for missions and moved up to serve at camp in 2011. 

Geneva is of Wet'suwet'en decent, she grew up in Witset BC and has been serving with UIM since 2012.

Both Dan and Geneva attended Frontier School of the Bible.  They met here at camp in 2006 and were married in 2012.  

Our prayer is that the Lord will bring on more full time staff to help with the year round programs at the camp.

The Christophersen 

Vance Christophersen first came to Rock Nest Ranch the Summer of 2016, after learning about it from UIM missionaries who came to visit Frontier School of the Bible while he was attending there. He spent most of that summer as a cabin leader, and afterwards felt God calling him back to RNR as a full-time missionary.

He volunteered for several more years in several different roles before officially joining UIM and started raising support in October 2021. In 2023 he stepped into the role of summer program director, which has been his role for the past few years. In addition to that, he has also stepped into the role of developing RNR's Discipleship program,  where he is continually looking for opportunities to follow up with campers and staff and encourage them in their walks with Christ, both at camp and where they live.

The Donovans

Ryan (Curly) and Leanne (Fox) serve part-time at Rock Nest Ranch.

Currently, their primary role during the off-season is Volunteer Team Coordination, reaching out to church groups and individuals in an effort to get adequate staffing for the coming summer camp season. Additionally, they work with the rest of the Rock Nest Team of decision making and preparations for future years of camp ministry.

During the summer they serve on-site as a part of the Rock Nest Ranch Leadership Team for the camp season, filling in gaps, shepherding staff, and being involved in all the aspects of camp life.

​Ryan and Leanne have three daughters, Mabel (Terrier), Estelle (Luna), and Rosie (Rockstar), who all come serve with them for the summer months. During the school year they live in Vancouver, WA, where Ryan serves as an Associate Pastor at Evergreen Bible Church.
